Suspect Vehicle Slams Into House Ending Police Pursuit

BAKERSFIELD, CA, Sept. 11 (KNN) — A Bakersfield police pursuit came to an abrupt end when the suspect’s vehicle slammed into a home Sunday night.

The crash occurred shortly before 10 p.m. impacting a home at the corner of Belle Terrace and El Sereno Drive in the city of Bakersfield.

Officers apprehended the suspect at the scene. No one was reported injured in the crash or inside the home. It is unknown at this time what prompted the pursuit of the suspect.

The home sustained apparent structural damage, but it was unclear which room inside the home was impacted by the collision.

Bakersfield PD is handling the investigation. There is no additional information at this time.
