The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a call of a rubbish fire in the 300 block of South Hill Street around 1:40 a.m.

When crews arrived on the scene, they located the power generator compartment of Danny’s Tacos food truck on fire.

The taco truck’s owner reported that a van pulled up next to the truck when they heard a bang from the outside. When they exited the truck, they found the generator on fire.

This incident is the second time a suspected arsonist has targeted Danny’s Tacos truck. The previous incident occurred under the same circumstances on April 9, 2024.

The Los Angeles Police Department’s Central Division and LAFD Arson investigators are handling the investigation.
