SIMI VALLEY, Calif., Sept. 8 (KNN) — A single vehicle crashed in Simi Valley, leaving a pole down and a neighborhood without power early Sunday.
Simi Valley Police and Ventura County Fire Departments responded to reports of a traffic collision around 4 a.m. near the Sycamore Drive and Heywood Street intersection.
When first responders arrived at the scene, they located a sedan that had collided with a power pole, knocking it down.
The female driver of the sedan was evaluated at the scene by medical personnel and was not injured. She was later arrested on suspicion of DUI after being subjected to field sobriety tests.
The crash caused a large power outage to an unknown number of SoCal Edison customers.
