Suspected Speeding Car Causes Significant Property Damage in Whittier

WHITTIER, Calif., Dec. 7 (KNN) — A vehicle crashed into a brick wall, a fence, and possibly a building late Thursday night, causing significant damage and uprooting a palm tree.

The incident was reported at approximately 11:50 p.m. in the 8500 block of Norwalk Boulevard at the Mariscos El Paisa.

The driver was initially reported to be trapped inside the vehicle but was freed by someone at the scene before emergency responders arrived.

The California Highway Patrol and Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel responded. One person was taken to the hospital, but the extent of injuries remains unclear.
