FLORENCE, LOS ANGELES, June 14 (KNN) — An armed robbery occurred Wednesday evening at approximately 10:28 p.m. at taco stand “Tacos Oscarin” near the intersection of East Manchester and Towne Avenues on the south side of the intersection in the Florence community of Los Angeles.

The Los Angeles Police Department’s Southeast Division responded to the location and is handling the investigation.

There has been a rash of taco stand/truck robberies in recent weeks, and this armed robbery possibly involves the same suspects.

Suspects are described as two men, approximately 5’7″ to 5’8″ tall, with ski masks and pistols. Approximately $50 in US currency was taken this time.

This is the second armed robbery at this taco stand, the first time was about a month ago, according to taco stand owner Oscar Lozano.

Lozano, interviewed by Key News Network at the scene, said it happend so fast … they went to his co-worker first and attempted to rob her, but she had nothing on her. They next tried to rob a client, but the suspects appeared to be in a rush. “They took a little bit … thank God,” said Lozano.

Lozano said both suspects were armed and a gun was pointed at him from in front of the table.

Lozano said people are working to make ends meet … working for their necessities, and for people to come armed, taking money to support their families, doesn’t seem fair. “They don’t take account for that,” said Lozano.
