Teenagers Suspected of Robbing Signal Hill 7-Eleven at Gunpoint, Arrested After Crashing During Pursuit

ANAHEIM, Calif., Jan. 12 (KNN) — A police pursuit of teenage suspects following an armed robbery at a 7-Eleven in Signal Hill overnight, ended in a traffic collision in the city of Anaheim.

The Signal Hill Police Department responded to an armed robbery around 1 a.m. Friday at the 7-Eleven convenience store in the 2700 block of East Pacific Coast Highway in the city of Signal Hill.

An employee told officers that multiple teenagers – one armed with a handgun – came into the store and demanded money from the clerk, then took off in a white Kia.

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies were able to locate the vehicle and attempted a traffic stop, but the suspects took off and a pursuit ensued.

The suspects led deputies on a 30-minute pursuit on multiple streets and freeways into the city of Anaheim. The suspect vehicle T-boned a black vehicle at the intersection of Anaheim Boulevard and Disney Way in the city of Anaheim.

All suspects were taken into custody. One suspect was temporarily trapped and was transported to a local hospital in unknown condition.

It is unknown at this time if the driver of the black vehicle that was struck by the suspects, was transported to a hospital.
