San Bernardino, San Bernardino County, CA: An infant was a passenger involved in a multi-vehicle traffic collision that left one person dead at the scene and multiple others injured.
The collision occurred Sunday, May 28, around 12:19 a.m. on the northbound 215 Freeway and Inland Center Drive in the city of San Bernardino.
California Highway Patrol and the San Bernardino Fire Department responded to the call regarding the collision and once on scene, reported one vehicle catching fire and a three-month-old infant involved in the crash. One patient was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The collision involved two vehicles, then another vehicle struck a mini van with the infant inside.
Firefighters rescued everyone involved and transported at least five patients to a local hospital.
The cause of the fatal crash is under investigation.
