Tree Set Ablaze Allegedly by People Lighting Fireworks

VAN NUYS, LOS ANGLES, July 4 (KNN) — A tree caught fire late Tuesday night allegedly from fireworks lit by individuals nearby.

The Los Angeles City Fire Department was dispatched to the 7500 block of Haskell Avenue in Van Nuys around 10:20 p.m. for reports of an outside fire.

When units arrived, they found one tree ablaze threatening an apartment complex.

Witnesses stated people were shooting fireworks at each other causing the tree to go up in flames.

Approximately 1000 used fireworks were observed strewn all over the roadway and in the middle of the street clearly seen in Key News Network video from the scene.
