Crews are working around the clock to shore up collapsing thoroughfares in two separate locations in the city – Soledad Canyon Road east of Langside Avenue, and Sand Canyon Road north of Soledad Canyon Road.

A video clip from the city shows one chunk collapsing into rapidly-moving water.

Supporting video shows crews working to keep the roadway stable and prevent more of the street from sliding into the river after more than six billion gallons of water fell onto the city during Tropical Storm Hilary.
