2 Stabbed at Thanksgiving Dinner in Sun Valley

SUN VALLEY, LOS ANGELES, Dec. 7 (KNN) – A Thanksgiving family gathering turned violent Thursday evening when two men were stabbed in Sun Valley, according to police.

The incident occurred at the apartments located in the 12500 block of Roscoe Boulevard. Officers from the LAPD Foothill Division and Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the scene. According to an LAPD sergeant on-site, the victims were celebrating Thanksgiving with family when they were approached by a known suspect who carried out the attack.

One victim, a man in his late 50s to early 60s, was transported to a local hospital in stable condition. The second victim, a man in his late 20s, was treated at the scene and declined further medical attention.

While officers were investigating, a red pickup truck believed to be linked to the suspect drove past the location. Police stopped the vehicle at a nearby gas station and detained its occupants. However, the individuals were released after being cleared of involvement in the stabbing.

The suspect(s) remains at large, and the investigation is ongoing.
