Valley Glen Homeowner Fires Shot at Multiple Burglars in Home Invasion Robbery

VALLEY GLEN, LOS ANGELES, Apr. 10 (KNN) — A homeowner in Valley Glen fired a gun when confronted by multiple burglary suspects attempting a home invasion robbery Tuesday night.

The Los Angeles Police Department responded to a shooting that had just occurred at 9:50 p.m. in the 14000 block of Calvert Street.

When units arrived at the location, they learned that four males attempted to burglarize a resident and that the owner fired one shot from a gun at the suspects. One of the suspects pepper sprayed the homeowner during the altercation, according to the LAPD. The homeowner appeared to be the solo occupant in the home at the time of the incident.

It is unknown at this time if anything was taken during the robbery and how the burglars entered the home. There were no reported injuries.

The suspects fled southbound on Hazeltine, according to the LAPD. The incident is under investigation.
