ECHO PARK, LOS ANGELES, Jan. 31 (KNN) — Occupants of a vehicle traveling the 101 Freeway overnight reported to authorities that they were shot at from another vehicle before crashing off an on-ramp as they reentered the freeway.
California Highway Patrol’s Central Los Angeles officers and the Los Angeles Police Department’s Rampart Division patrol units responded to reports of a car shooting on the 101 Freeway near Alvarado Street just before 3 a.m. Wednesday.
A male and female alleged that someone had shot at their vehicle from another vehicle while traveling southbound on the 101 Freeway in the Echo Park area of Los Angeles.
The driver exited at Alvarado before crashing into the bushes on the on-ramp while reentering the 101 Freeway.
CHP was unable to locate any damage to the vehicle consistent with a shooting other than damage from the collision.
No injuries were reported.
