Vehicle Fire in South Los Angeles Involves Possible Arson

ADAMS-NORMANDIE, LOS ANGELES, Jan. 24 (KNN) — Arson is suspected after a vehicle was found on fire in the Adams-Normandie neighborhood of South Los Angeles late Thursday night.

Los Angeles Fire Department personnel responded to the 2000 block of West 22nd Street for reports of an auto fire around 10:47 p.m.

When crews arrived on the scene, they located a Ford Edge fully engulfed in flames and quickly extinguished the fire.

The Los Angeles Police Department’s Southwest Division units responded due to an additional report of a possible homicide, though upon searching the vehicle, no victims were located.

The vehicle is believed to have been stolen and intentionally set on fire.

There are no further details at this time.
