HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES, Sept. 13 (KNN) — A vehicle collided with a hydrant early Wednesday morning sending gallons of water gushing skyward.
The sheared fire hydrant was reported around 1:47 a.m. at the southwest corner of Hollywood Boulevard and Wilcox Avenue in Hollywood.
When Los Angeles Fire Department personnel arrived on scene, they located a 25-foot geyser gushing from the broken hydrant.
Water was shut off in just a few minutes by drenched firefighters.
The vehicle that struck the hydrant may have been parked a few blocks away per witnesses at the scene.
