SANTA CLARTA, CA, July 13 (KNN) — A gray Toyota Camry collided with a hillside and overturned trying to avoid hitting a bobcat on the roadway, according to the California Highway Patrol’s report regarding the incident that occurred shortly before 12:30 a.m. Thursday.

The solo occupant of the vehicle was treated at the scene by paramedics and declined transportation to a hospital after crashing on Placerita Canyon Road, approximately a mile and a half east of Sierra Highway in Santa Clarita.
Sheriff’s deputies searched the area for a possible bobcat on both sides of Placerita Canyon Road, but were unsuccessful in locating the animal.
