SOUTH LOS ANGELES, May 25 (KNN) — A Los Angeles Police Department vehicle pursuit overnight ended in a crash involving fire in South Los Angeles.
Officers with LAPD’s Newton Division were in pursuit of a vehicle when it crashed into a residence around 1:50 a.m. Saturday in the 200 block of East 23rd Street in the Historic South-Central Los Angeles neighborhood.
The vehicle caught fire, which spread to the residence. The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the scene and extinguished the flames.
All occupants fled from the vehicle and were later apprehended by LAPD officers. No one inside the structure was injured.
LAFD’s Urban Search and Rescue crews pulled the vehicle out of the structure, as seen in Key News Network video from the scene.
There are no further details at this time.
