Vehicle, Rubbish Fires Spread to Commercial Building

SUN VALLEY, LOS ANGELES, Oct. 15 (KNN) — A burning vehicle and rubbish fire spread to a commercial building overnight in Sun Valley.

The Los Angeles Fire Department was dispatched around 1:30 a.m. Sunday to the 8500 block of North Tujunga Boulevard where arriving firefighters found an auto and rubbish fire behind a one-story commercial (collision center), reported the fire department.

The flames quickly spread to the building which took 49 firefighters 39 minutes to access, confine and extinguish the fire inside the building, according to the LAFD. The firefighters also extinguished the burning vehicle and rubbish.

There were no reported injuries.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
