Vehicle Strikes Pedestrian in Bakersfield, Victim Survives

Bakersfield, Kern County, CA: A pedestrian survived being struck by a vehicle on Palm and Olive Street in the city of Bakersfield Tuesday night.

Around 8:51 p.m., Mar. 14, a vehicle versus pedestrian collision was reported, prompting responses from the Bakersfield Fire Department, Hall paramedics and the Bakersfield Police Department.

Firefighter/paramedics worked to treat the victim at the scene before Hall Ambulance arrived. Paramedics reported that the victim suffered moderate injuries. The patient was transported to a nearby hospital.

Bakersfield Police officers were at the scene handling the investigation.

The vehicle involved stayed at the location and the driver cooperated with authorities.
