Pomona, Los Angeles County, CA: A violent single-vehicle rollover crash into a tree trapped one person and caused vehicle parts to scatter upon impact.
Pomona Police Department officers along with the Los Angeles County Fire Department received multiple 911 calls around 11:50 p.m., Friday, Dec. 23, regarding a traffic collision with a vehicle into a tree with one person trapped at North White and West McKinley avenues near the Los Angeles County Fairgrounds in the city of Pomona.
Once officers and firefighters arrived on scene, they located one vehicle upside down into a tree with one person still trapped inside the vehicle.
Firefighters used the Jaws of Life to cut the doors off the vehicle and extricate the male occupant.
The patient was transported to a local hospital in an unknown condition.
It is not known at this time if speed or alcohol was a factor in the crash.
Pomona PD had all southbound lanes of North White Avenue closed at West Arrow Highway.
