Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department West Hollywood Station deputies were dispatched to a reported armed robbery around 2 a.m. Wednesday in the area of Santa Monica Boulevard and Hacienda Place.

Four armed suspects, all described as Black males wearing all black with ski masks armed with handguns, exited a gray newer model Honda and took at least one victim’s Rolex watch.

The suspects were last seen traveling north on Hacienda Place.

Visibly distraught, the Los Angeles resident spoke with Key News Network at the scene regarding the incident. She said that she was out with her friends who were visiting from another country when her friends were robbed of their jewelry by armed suspects. Guns were pointed at all of them.

The L.A. victim said she was outraged and “sick of this happening to our town and to our country.” Four of her friends over the last three months ended up in the ICU from being robbed in locations from Beverly Hills to downtown [Los Angeles].

Our mayors and our politicians are not cracking down on this violence, she said when asked why she thought this keeps happening. “The robbers have freedom, and it’s affecting all of our lives deeply. No one is safe here anymore and I love this town and I love our country and we need to make a stand.”

“Obviously, it’s people getting away with it because they know they can, and that reflects on us as a city and a country. It reflects on us because the laws are not good enough.”

No one was reported injured during the robbery.
