Woman Killed in Solo Vehicle Crash Into Tree on 101 Freeway Off-Ramp

CALABASAS, LOS ANGELES COUNTY, June 16 (KNN) — A middle-aged woman was killed in a solo vehicle crash after impacting a tree late Friday evening, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The driver was traveling northbound on the 101 Freeway at a high rate of speed prior to the collision at approximately 8:00 p.m.

CHP West Valley officers responded to the northbound 101 Freeway at the Las Virgenes off-ramp where the vehicle impacted the tree.

There were reports the vehicle was possibly on fire after the collision.
