Wounded Patient Taken Into Custody After Shooting at Union Station in Downtown Los Angeles

DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES, Jan. 11 (KNN) — A shooting occurred at Union Station in Downtown Los Angeles late Thursday night leaving one wounded at the scene who was subsequently taken into custody.

The Los Angeles Police Department’s Central Division patrol units responded to reports of a shooting victim shortly after 10:30 p.m. on the 800 block of North Alameda Street.

When officers arrived on scene, they located a victim with a gunshot wound who was also taken into custody before being transported to the hospital. He was observed handcuffed to the gurney as he was loaded into the ambulance by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics.

Initial reports indicate the shooting may have stemmed from some sort of altercation.

No further information was immediately available. Additional details will be added if made available by the LAPD.
