VENTURA, Calif., Dec. 7 (KNN) — A suspected DUI driver was taken into custody by authorities overnight after traveling the wrong way on the 101 Freeway in Ventura.
A California Highway Patrol Ventura unit spotted a vehicle traveling the wrong way in the southbound lanes of the 101 Freeway at Sanjon Road at approximately 12:17 a.m. Saturday.
Units eventually caught up to the vehicle and stopped it south of the 101/33 interchange.
The female driver was subjected to a field sobriety test and was subsequently arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.
A second vehicle was reportedly struck by the wrong-way driver just south of the location.
No injuries were reported.
