Wrong-Way Driver Involved in Traffic Collision on 10 Freeway in Covina

COVINA, Calif., June 19 (KNN) — A wrong-way driver was involved in a collision Tuesday night on the eastbound 10 Freeway in the city of Covina.

The California Highway Patrol received multiple 911 calls around 10:40 p.m. of a wrong-way driver traveling westbound in eastbound lanes on the 10 Freeway at Grand Avenue.

CHP received additional 911 calls of a traffic collision with multiple vehicles and one vehicle that flipped over and landed back on its tires on the eastbound 10 Freeway just past Grand Avenue.

An off-duty El Monte police detective on his way home, was the first on scene and located two vehicles that were involved in a crash.

CHP arrived on scene and located a white vehicle and a gray vehicle in the HOV lane of the eastbound 10 Freeway at Grand Avenue.

The West Covina Fire Department arrived at the scene and evaluated all drivers and passengers, but no one was transported to a hospital.
