1 Killed in 2-Vehicle Traffic Collision on 10 Freeway

Bloomington, San Bernardino County, CA: A two-vehicle traffic collision left one person deceased on the 10 Freeway early Sunday morning, Sept. 25, around 3:17 a.m. in the Bloomington area of San Bernardino County.

California Highway Patrol San Bernardino Station and San Bernardino County Fire responded to a two-vehicle traffic collision with one person down in lanes of the westbound 10 Freeway just before the Sierra Avenue exit.

Arriving officers and firefighters located two vehicles – a red two-door with major damage and a pickup truck on the right shoulder with major front end damage – and a body in lanes.

The person was pronounced deceased at the scene by firefighters and paramedics. It is unknown at the time if any other people were transported to a hospital.

CHP had only the #1 lane open for the westbound 10 Freeway. A SigAlert was issued for an unknown period of time for the WB 10 Freeway at Sierra Avenue.

The cause of the traffic collision is under investigation.
