Pasadena, Los Angeles County, CA: A fire in a strip mall grew to second alarm status on the 1300 block of North Lake Avenue in the city of Pasadena early Friday morning.

Pasadena Fire Department responded to reports of a commercial structure fire at around 1:49 a.m. July 29, where they found fire coming from the roof at the location and requested a second alarm assignment.

Firefighters knocked down the flames within 30 minutes. The fire was on top of an insurance company in a strip mall. Pasadena Police Department had Lake Street blocked off from Washington to Rio Grande Street.

Pasadena Fire Department is investigating the cause of the fire.
