2 Hospitalized After High Angle Rope Rescue from Embankment

Ravensdale, WA: On Wednesday night, Sept. 27, before 11:00 p.m., 911 received calls about two victims who had fallen down a 100 foot embankment with possible back injuries by the Cedar River at 26800 Cedar Pipeline Road in Ravensdale.

The injured victims were unclear about exact locations and almost out of cell phone battery. A large scale search started with mutual aid fire units – KCSO, Guardian One, Medic One and more.

Eventually they were located and a rescue plan was put into place. Upon both patients being packaged and evaluated, it was determined the patient with back injury needed transport to Harborview and the second one was sent to Valley Medical Center.
