2 Killed in 91 Freeway On-Ramp Crash

Compton, Los Angeles County, CA: Two people lost their lives in a single-vehicle collision into a pole on the eastbound 91 Freeway at the Wilmington Avenue on-ramp early Saturday morning, Apr. 30, in the city of Compton.

Compton firefighters were called to the scene and pronounced two victims deceased. Long Beach and Downey Fire Departments aided Compton firefighters for body recovery and extrication from the wreckage.

It is unknown at this time if speed played a factor in the fatal crash. California Highway Patrol is handling the investigation.
