2-Vehicle Traffic Collision Blocks Bob Hope Airport Entrance, 1 Trapped

Burbank, Los Angeles County, CA: One person was trapped after a two-vehicle traffic collision that blocked the entrance of Bob Hope Airport on Monday night, May 9, 2022.

Verdugo Fire Department responded to reports of a traffic collision around 10:53 p.m. blocking the entrance to Bob Hope Airport at North Hollywood Way and Winona Avenue in the city of Burbank.

When units arrived, firefighters found a two-vehicle traffic collision with one person trapped. Firefighters used the Jaws of Life to free the person from the vehicle.

The patient was transported to a local hospital in unknown condition. A witness on location stated that the truck ran a red light and hit the car.

Burbank Police Department, also at the scene, is handling the investigation.
