3 Critically Injured in Single-Vehicle Crash Into Pole in Downtown Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES, Dec. 16 (KNN) — A total of three people were critically injured when a vehicle slammed into a pole in Downtown Los Angeles late Friday night.

The Los Angeles Fire Department and the Los Angeles Police Department’s Central Division patrol units responded to reports of a vehicle versus a traffic signal pole at the intersection of Main Street and Olympic Boulevard.

When first responders arrived at the scene, they located a solo vehicle into a pole with pedestrians also struck.

In total, there were three critical patients: A 28-year-old male patient was transported in traumatic cardiac arrest, an additional 17-year-old male was transported for a head injury, and a 16-year-old female for a femur fracture.

Per the LAPD off camera, one of the teens may have been driving the vehicle.
