Vehicle Crashes Into Parked Car Inside Garage, 2 Patients Trapped

SOUTH PASADENA, CA, Aug. 12 (KNN) — Two people were trapped inside a vehicle following a crash into a parked car inside the garage of a home early Saturday morning.

South Pasadena Police Department officers and Pasadena Fire Department personnel received a report of a traffic collision involving a home shortly before 2 a.m. on 300 block of Orange Grove Avenue near Oliver Street in South Pasadena.

When units arrived at the scene, they confirmed one vehicle had crashed through a garage hitting a car parked inside and becoming stuck underneath the parked car trapping two occupants inside the vehicle.

The fire department asked for more units to respond for structural support.

Both patients were freed from the vehicle, stabilized at the scene and prepared for transport. One patient was transported to a local hospital by Alhambra Fire Department paramedics, and the other by Pasadena Fire Department paramedics. Both patients sustained injuries in the crash, but their conditions are not known at this time.

The crash was possibly due to speed. However, the cause is currently under investigation.
