Shooting Incident Involving Arcadia Officer, Suspect, Under Investigation

ARCADIA, CA, Aug. 13 (KNN) — The Arcadia Police Department and Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department detectives are investigating an officer-involved shooting that occurred in Arcadia involving an officer with the Arcadia PD.

One person was shot in the middle of the intersection of South First Avenue and California Street near Downtown Arcadia around 11:30 p.m. Saturday.

It is not known at this time if the suspect was transported to a hospital or was pronounced dead at the scene.

It is also unknown if the officer sustained any injuries during the officer-involved shooting.

As with any shooting involving an officer, information regarding the incident is initially limited due to the ongoing investigation.
