Ambulance Rolls Over in Bakersfield Traffic Collision

BAKERSFIELD, CA, Sept. 2 (KNN) — An ambulance rolled over during a traffic collision overnight in a Bakersfield intersection, trapping at least one paramedic.

The collision involving a Hall ambulance and at least one other vehicle occurred shortly before 2 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of Ming and South H Avenue.

Responding firefighters were observed breaking out the front windshield of the ambulance to free a paramedic trapped inside. Another paramedic appeared to have exited from another part of the overturned vehicle. It was unclear whether the ambulance contained a patient at the time of the crash.

Information regarding the traffic collision is preliminary at this time as the incident is still under investigation by the Bakersfield Police Department.
