Los Angeles City Fire Department personnel were dispatched around 11:43 a.m. for a call regarding an unknown smell coming from a crate on the 14000 block of Terra Bella Street in Arleta.

LAFD requested a full hazmat response to the location. Firefighters closed the street to pedestrians and vehicles as a precaution during the investigation of the crate.

Firefighters carefully examined materials found in the crate. One hour after the investigation dispatch call time, firefighter personnel determined the chemicals were bug spray.

The LAFD retrieved all of the chemicals and cleared the scene.
