Deadly Rollover Crash Prompts Closure of Imperial Highway

LA HABRA, CA, Sept. 22 (KNN) — A female and her preteen daughter were hospitalized after striking a red SUV that turned in front of them, in front of a Target store in La Habra late Thursday evening, killing the motorist of the other vehicle.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department responded around 7:43p.m. to the 1000 block of West Imperial Highway, which is located directly in front of the driveway to Target.

Firefighters arrived and located a total of three people injured, with one partially ejected out the window.

The male occupant of the red overturned SUV was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Meanwhile, a child and an adult from the Toyota sedan were taken to UCI Trauma center with unknown injuries.

Witnesses off camera stated that the red SUV was turning from westbound Imperial Highway into Target when it was struck by the Toyota going eastbound.

All westbound lanes of Imperial Highway were shut down at Idaho Street until further notice as La Habra police officers conducted their investigation.
