Firefighters Contain Simi Valley Brush Fire

SIMI VALLEY, CA, Oct. 19 (KNN) — Ventura County Fire Department crews responded to reports of a brush fire shortly after 7 p.m. Thursday in the hills above Long Canyon Road and Wood Ranch Parkway in Simi Valley.

When crews arrived on scene, they located approximately 1/2 acre of burning brush moving slowly downhill.

Forward progress on the fire was stopped in approximately 20 minutes.

No homes were threatened.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
