ROSAMOND, CA, Oct. 20 (KNN) — A search for a murder suspect has led authorities to the unincorporated community of Rosamond in Kern County.

The incident that prompted the search for the suspect occurred last month in the unincorporated community of Llano, California, located near the San Bernardino County line.
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Homicide Bureau investigators are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the suspicious death of a male Hispanic adult. The incident occurred on Wednesday, September 18, 2023, at approximately 10:45 p.m.
Palmdale Station deputies responded to the 33000 block of Largo Vista Road in Llano regarding a vehicle fire call. Deputies arrived at the location and contacted the Los Angeles County Fire Department who had extinguished a burning vehicle.
Upon extinguishing the fire, firefighters discovered a male inside the vehicle suffering from severe burns. The LACoFD pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.
Homicide investigators arrived on scene and assumed the investigation.
During their investigation, investigators discovered the incident had stemmed from a domestic dispute. Homicide investigators have identified a murder suspect; however, his/her identity will not be revealed at this time, according to the LASD Homicide Bureau.
It is believed the suspect may have fled to the Rosamond area in Kern County. Deputies from the LASD and the Kern County Sheriff’s Department along with the US Marshal Service, are hold up in a community in Rosamond which is located in Kern County just north of Lancaster.
The investigation is ongoing and there is no additional information available at this time.
