JEFFERSON PARK, LOS ANGELES, Nov. 2 (KNN) — Multiple bullet casings were located by police as they investigated the scene of where shots were reported fired at a street takeover.

The Los Angeles Police Department’s Southwest Division patrol units responded to shots fired at the intersection of Western Avenue and Jefferson Boulevard in Jefferson Park around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday.
When units arrived on scene, a street takeover was in the process of dispersing.
Officers canvassed the intersection and located a large amount of bullet casings at the southeast corner of the intersection.
Witnesses told police a Black male with dreadlocks wearing a fanny pack fired a handgun into the air and fled the scene.
No injuries were reported.
