Fatally Shot Man Found Near Burning RV in Boyle Heights

BOYLE HEIGHTS, LOS ANGELES, Nov. 3 (KNN) — A mortally wounded gunshot victim was found near a burning recreational vehicle on a street in Boyle Heights overnight.

Officers with the Los Angeles Police Department’s Hollenbeck Division responded to a shooting victim in the 3400 block of Emery Street at approximately 2:44 a.m. Friday.

When officers arrived on scene, they located a male down in the street suffering from gunshot wounds as well as an RV fully-engulfed in flames nearby.

Los Angeles Fire Department crews arrived, tended to the victim and also extinguished the fire.

The victim was ultimately pronounced deceased at the scene. LAPD Media Relations said the victim was a 36-year-old male.

Witnesses stated two male suspects fled the scene related to the shooting.

The LAPD said the burning RV appears to be unrelated to the fatal shooting incident.
