HIGHLAND PARK, LOS ANGELES, Nov. 2 (KNN) — Los Angeles Fire Department personnel were able to contain and ultimately extinguish a brush fire in the Highland Park area of Los Angeles.

Firefighters arrived at the location of approximately one-half acre of burning brush on steep terrain with very light wind in the 200 block of South Avenue 52 around 3:23 a.m. Thursday.
Firefighting crews surrounded the fire with hose lines and fire breaks and contained the flames to approximately 1.5 acres, stated the LAFD.
The LAFD reported it took 52 firefighters 94 minutes to extinguish the flames. No injuries were reported and no structures were damaged.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
