SUNLAND, LOS ANGELES, Nov. 2 (KNN) — Los Angeles Police Department officers searched for suspects overnight who fled from the scene of a traffic collision involving a patrol vehicle.

LAPD Foothill Division officers responding to a possible burglary call were involved in a hit-and-run traffic collision early Thursday morning.
Officers were traveling eastbound on the 8500 block of Foothill Boulevard in Sunland with lights and sirens activated, when they collided with a dark colored pickup truck shortly after 2:30 a.m.
The driver and an unknown number of passengers from the pickup truck exited the vehicle and ran into the neighborhood north of Foothill Boulevard.
LAPD had established a perimeter in the area looking for the suspects.
One officer was transported to a local area hospital by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics. The officer’s condition was unknown at the time.
Foothill Boulevard was closed in both directions for an unknown duration.
