Man Found Fatally Shot on Sidewalk in South Los Angeles

SOUTH LOS ANGELES, Dec. 11 (KNN) — A man was found fatally shot in the Harvard Park neighborhood within South Los Angeles late Sunday night.

The Los Angeles Police Department’s 77th Division patrol units responded to reports from neighbors shortly before 11:30 p.m. regarding a man down on the sidewalk in the 1500 block of West 71st Street.

When officers arrived at the location, they found a male down with gunshot wounds. The Los Angeles Fire Department pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.

Detectives are working with the County of Los Angeles Coroner’s Office to identify the victim who has been described as a male, African American, approximately 30-40 years of age, stated the LAPD in a news release of the incident.
