Deputies Investigate Reported Shooting Over Dog Poo

CASTAIC, Calif., Dec. 15 (KNN) — An investigation is underway into a reported shooting that was allegedly sparked by a dog defecating too close to a neighbor’s home.

Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies are investigating a possible shooting that occurred Thursday evening inside the Valencia Travel Village in the 27900 block of Henry Mayo Drive in the Castaic community of Los Angeles County. Witnesses say the shooting was caused by a dog defecating near a neighbor’s residence.

The incident was first reported around 7:03 p.m. when a man exited his home and fired shots, a witness said.

Deputies were on the scene investigating the incident and detained at least one person in connection with the shooting.
