SUN VALLEY, LOS ANGELES, Dec. 16 (KNN) — Two young adults were shot, one fatally, while walking to their vehicle early Saturday morning in the Sun Valley neighborhood of Los Angeles.

The shooting was reported at approximately 1:20 a.m. in the 11100 block of Lorne Street. The Los Angeles Police Department’s Foothill Division officers responded to the location along with Los Angeles Fire Department personnel.
First responders located one female and one male victim both suffering from gunshot wounds. The female was in serious condition, and the male was in serious but stable condition. Both were transported to a local area hospital by LAFD.
According to an update from the LAPD, the female victim was pronounced deceased at the hospital, and the male victim underwent surgery and is expected to survive.
Preliminary investigation revealed the victims were walking to their vehicle when another vehicle approached. A suspect inside the vehicle fired multiple rounds striking both victims. The suspect vehicle then fled the scene, reported the LAPD in a news release of the incident.
The drivers side and front passenger windows were shattered by gunfire and multiple bullet holes were observed on the victim’s vehicle. Officers marked the street where bullet casings were located. A bullet hole was also observed in the outside wall of a nearby building.
The suspects are described as four males in a dark blue Honda sedan.
