Firefighters Battle Intense Flames Burning Portion of Los Angeles Home

EXPOSITION PARK, LOS ANGELES, Dec. 18 (KNN) — The Los Angeles Police Department’s Southwest Division patrol units stumbled upon a burning house Sunday night and requested the Los Angeles Fire Department to respond.

LAFD personnel arrived at the burning structure around 11:41 p.m. on the 1200 block of West 36th Place in the Exposition Park neighborhood within the south region of Los Angeles.

Firefighters encountered heavy fire and smoke on one side of the house on both floors.

The fire was contained to the structure and extinguished in approximately 30 minutes.

It was not immediately known if the two-story home was occupied at the time the fire erupted. The cause is under investigation.
