LANCASTER, Calif., Dec. 20 (KNN) — Firefighters discovered a body in the trunk of a burned vehicle after extinguishing a garage fire in the city of Lancaster Wednesday morning.

Los Angeles County firefighters responded to the 41400 block of 38th Street West shortly after 8:30 a.m. for a structure fire.
Arriving crews found a garage fully engulfed in flames. Firefighters quickly extinguished the flames and found three vehicles in the garage that were on fire.
Upon further investigation, firefighters located a body in the trunk of one of the vehicles. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department was called to the scene and began their investigation which is still underway.
There are no further details at this time.
