Man Wounded in Bakersfield Shooting; Investigation Underway

BAKERSFIELD, Calif., Dec. 26 (KNN) — The Bakersfield Police Department is investigating a Christmas night shooting that left one person hospitalized.

A shooting occurred Monday around 9:30 p.m. at 9th and K Street in the city of Bakersfield. Responding Bakersfield PD officers found a male with gunshot wounds at the location.

The male was transported to a local hospital in unknown condition.

The area was taped off with crime scene tape as the BPD was on scene handling the investigation.

There are no further details at this time.
