BAKERSFIELD, Calif., Dec. 28 (KNN) — A motorcyclist was injured in a Bakersfield traffic collision Wednesday evening.

The collision occurred shortly after 5 p.m. on Norris Road and Victor Street where a rider was found ejected from a damaged motorcycle seen laying on the roadway.
The driver of the vehicle involved in the traffic collision stayed at the scene and was complying with an officer.
The Kern County Fire Department and paramedics responded to the scene and prepared the injured motorcyclist for transport to a local hospital. The patient’s condition was not immediately known.
The area was blocked off to through traffic. The Kern County Sheriff’s Office and the California Highway Patrol is handling the investigation.
There are no further details at this time.
