East Los Angeles, CA: Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to a reported commercial building fire around 10:44 p.m. Tuesday, Apr. 19, on East 1st Street and North Rowan Avenue in East Los Angeles.

Upon arrival, LACoFD and the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department found the vacant building fully involved in flames with heavy smoke and fire coming from the roof.
Firefighters were in defensive mode to battle the fire and try to gain access.
It took approximately 20 to 35 minutes for firefighters to extinguish the flames.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time. There were no reported injuries.
