Flooded Interstate 5 Results in Sun Valley Traffic Collision

SUN VALLEY, LOS ANGELES, Calif., Mar. 13 (KNN) — A relentless rainstorm overnight caused significant flooding on the I-5 Freeway at Lankershim Boulevard in Sun Valley.

North and southbound lanes were flooded entirely, resulting in a traffic collision on the southbound side around 4:30 a.m. The California Highway Patrol responded to the incident.

A white pickup truck with front end damage was observed in what appeared to be the number 2 lane. In the challenging weather and road conditions, motorists did their best to avoid the truck.

Details regarding the crash are unknown at this time.
